Version: 8.1 Release: 018 - Setting up the button “New” in the link from the Grid to the Form

In this example, we’ll show how to create a link from the Grid to a Form. In this link we’ll alter the name of the button, from a new parameter created in the new release.

Creating a link between applications

1. Open a Grid application and create a link to a form application.

2. In the link properties, a few new configuration parameters were added.

The new feature of this release is the implementation of a property for the label and hint of the button “NEW”.

When leaving the fields in blank , the application will apply the default label to the button, which is “New”.

Add a Label and a Hint to this button, save and run the application. In this example the label and hint will be “Add Category”.
