  • [SOLVED] How to solve this....

I'm currently running the demo version and I've tried publishing some apps. Data are in an sqlite(3) database and the app works in my local script case development environment.
I tried publishing a first version ,and struggled to get the connection in my pro server to work, but eventually it did work (only when accessing my local server through my dyndns : ie 192.168.1xx then menu item selection didn't work (error accessing the database : table xyz not found view SQL -sql underlined but no working link) but ???.webhop.net does work.
With a second version (more records but similar database) I haven't managed to reproduce what I did to get the first one to work. When calling 192.168.1xx/MyApp and calling the relevant menu item: table xyz not found..., when calling ???.webhop.net/MyApp and calling the relevant menu item, it's a column that isn't found (so I assume the table is...)
Any idea on what is wrong ?
    Thanks for your help...

When connecting again after 1 to 2 hrs, it works...and I didn't change anything...
Is this a cache issue of some kind, the database not being found after publishing (because of "wrong" address) and this failure being kept in memory for quite some time ?

    Hello,

This might have been caused due to your browser cache. Try clearing your cookies and cache, and please let me know if the problem continues.

I thought about this and kept clearing the browser cache but it didn't seem to work. Now it's fine.
      Thanks

Re: How to solve this....(half resolved - no longer ?)

        Hey,

As I was having trouble with grid applications build up (see on the relevant forum thread), I installed ZendServer and script case on my McBookAir and there I run again into sqlite database connexion issues.
I just can't connect to my database wherever I put the file.
If I give a"wrong" path the connexion test succeeds, but when in the grid settings I get a failing database diagnosis.
If I give what is the right path (on my mac it's /Users/myuser/Desktop/DBName.db as the sqlite db is on my Desktop - tried other locations some within the htdocs) I get an SQL error...

I'm now lost as I can't test in any of my machines...
        Thanks for any help...

Re: How to solve this....(half resolved)

Connection to data base is solved, it was on my desktop and the access rights of it were not allowing scriptcase to read it somehow.
I just read the thread you indicated for my grid issue and think both issues are linked to ownership of scriptcase in my setup. (can't check just now but will when back home)

Thanks and my apologies for the trouble
