  • [SOLVED] A blank application in a form

    Hi,

    I have a form with 3 Master/Details forms included. This works very nice and is great.

    Now I need to program a timeline in this form and I thought I can also include a blank application in the form, like the master/details forms.
    And in this blank application I program my timeline.
    But I am unable to include a blank application into my form.

    I tried to use a container, but this is not really the way I want to go.

    Basically what I want to to is to have a block on a form where I can program something myself and put the output in this block.

    Please advice.
    Andre

      Hi andre,
      You can use jquery to append an iframe, or ajax to load the content in a div.

      Example to append an iframe

      Code:
      $('#selector').append('<iframe src="URL"></iframe>');

            Thank you all,
            I have tried it but I do not get it to work.
            Where and how do I put this piece of code in my project.
            Thanks

              jsfiddle is separated in two areas, HTML and Javascript.

              1 Put your HTML in the place you want to display the content in your application, it can be in the header, footer or inside a label field.
              2 Put your Javascript inside this tags, jsfiddle website dont show that because in the left there are some options selected.

              Code:
              <script>
              $(document).ready(function() {
                 //here jsfiddle JAVASCRIPT CODE
              });
              </script>

                Thanks Hirambq,
                I put the HTML code in a label of Master Details. It also shows up when I look into the source code of the page.
                But where do I put the javascript. I tried several places like OnLoad and ApplicationInit event. I also made a Java function.
                But no success.
                Please advice.

                  1. Make sure your DIV is in your HTML source code. In the place you want the iframe.

                  Code:
                  <div id="external"></div>
                  2.And also the javascript must be in the source code. In scriptcase you need to 'echo' the code like this
                  PHP Code:
                  echo "
                  <script>
                  $(document).ready(function() {
                    $('#external').append('<iframe src=\"http://yahoo.com\"></iframe>');
                  });
                  </script>"
