  • Installing SC8 application in Hostgator?

I would like to know if a SC-8 application can be deployed in a web hosting like Hostgator.com in normal web hosting packages (Not in a dedicated servers package)?. My doubt (My doubt comes from the requirement of install Zend Guard).

    Thx in Adv.

You only need Zend for running the development side of SC - what gets deployed is pure php - so deploying to any host (provided they provide PHP support) should be fine. If unsure, trial SC, build a small test and deploy....

In principle you're right. Don't know regarding this host but I had issues with others:

      - ran out of memory
      - tinyMCE required some kind of setting to allow it to run.

So something to test I guess.

        Requirements

        The installation requirements are :

1 - Web server with PHP support, such as Apache, IIS, Abyss and more.
2 - PHP 5.2.1 or higher, with the modules mbstring, GD2 and zip enabled.
        3 - Zend Optimizer 3.3.0 or higher.
4 - Standard SQL Database (SQLite, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and DB2) PHP accessible .*
5 - Java or JRE - Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0 or higher installed on the server.
Those are the requirements. Might be a good one to double check.
