  • Scriptcase License is about to expire

My scriptcase license is about to expire in a few days.

    I purchased the enterprise edition.

What happens if I don't renew my license. Will I not be able to use scriptcase anymore?

Yes, your scriptcase version will continue to work. You will not be able to download new versions, but bugfixes will apply until version 9 comes out.

As I was told by SC bugfixes will apply, but not new functionality. So bugfixes on 8.0 will apply, but 8.1 is a no-go.

So updates will not apply beginning with 8.1 not 9.0, is that correct?

Bugfixes will apply as far as I'm told. But new functionality as will be in 8.1 not. Since maintenance on the 8 branch useually stops if 9 comes out there will not be bugfixing on version 8 any more I think. So bugfixes would still apply, but nobody at SC will be working on 8. So far SC is speaking of 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 and there are currently no plans for version 9. So I guess that users with an expired licence will have their bugfixes, but only on the parts they had the licence for.
But don't shoot me, I'm only the messager.
