  • Antispam measures (hopefully).

A suggestion to the team from scriptcase.
Please check out this link http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...stration-Bots=
There are many suggestions to reduce the spam in this forum. Specially the spam bots and hired spammers. I suggest to quickly start using those, since the spam on the forum is growing..

I requested something like that a while ago. Currently I'm deleting 1-5 posts a day. I guess that Giu and others are doing similar things.

            Possible solutions:
            http://www.spamtrawler.net/
            Advanced registration:
            http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=236117
Or simply only allow registered users (that bought or downloaded a scriptcase version) to register...

            Bot lists:
            http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=268208

etc... with a little searching and adding you can block most of the spam.

Next to that you can use a double verification: someone makes an account and needs to leave his email. In the email he gets a link that he needs to activate.
Anyway with a little work you can reduce the number of spammer significantly.

            Also: http://www.stopforumspam.com/
Of course akismet is a good choice too....
