  • Nightmares since last update!

    Guys...

    I have been having a complete nightmare with scriptcase since the last update and am getting to the end of my line to say the least.
    For starters I have buttons not working, session data being lost for no reason and now the security is being a pain in the rear and forcing me to start the login to view any pages....

    I have disabled and enabled the security in my scriptcase so many times now its just a joke and not saving or still requesting me to login.

    After 4 days of support recovering my backup which for some reason was broken, and with no reason or information as to what the problem was......

    I am lossing money and wasting alot of time every day here for what?

    Guys this needs a solution and this platform you are selling needs to be stable without such issues and headaces, am I frustrated hell yeh am border line going nuts here.

    Solutions please?????

    Buttons not opening linked forms.
    Sessions being lost for no aparent reason.
    security telling me I cant view the page and I should change the settings once again with no effect.
    Backups not working as they should requiring 4 days to solve.

    Sort it out guys and fast I need to work or are you going to pay me the lost time and money I am lossing every day I am unable to work?!?

    Hello Jamie,

    The main place where you can solve those kinds of issues is with our support team.

    If you feel that issues started happening with SC 7.0.018 an alternative would be to downgrade your ScriptCase. To do so, just apply a manual "update" using an older version: http://downloads.scriptcase.com.br/d....017-en_us.zip

      actually support had advised me the issue was with the 7.0.017 version and that I should upgrade to the .18, which is what I had done. still being plagued with the same issues and awaiting a suitable reply from support of course I am getting very frustrated as it has been nearly a week already where I have of course wasted allot of time trying to solve this.
      Which version actually has this problem I do not know, but what I do know is that it was working with 7.0.017 for a few days.
      fact is that reverting back to another version isn't the solution, its just a work around until the next update comes out which may solve what ever the problem is.

      I do how ever believe that the errors provided should provide support enough information to either provide a suitable solution without having to revert back to previous versions, especially if the updated zip and new exe have been downloaded and tested with the same error msg being provided.

      Today it is 3 days since I have had a reply from the support, at first it was helpful, then it was ignorant and now it has vanished......... So tell me please what should do now other than pull my hair out and get more angry over this? Because I am starting to be at a loss.

      If English is a problem then please let me know as I can arrange for my Portuguese wife to help solve this. Simple fact is I need a solution ASAP!!!! Nearly 7 days to solve a ticket logged as an emergency, with no feedback in days! I do think that even you would start to get frustrated and very annoyed.

      So us both a favor please do some chasing and find out what the hell is going on!

          Well Bernhard I am stuck, in fact I have been stuck for days now hence the frustration!

            so I managed so solve the script errors myself after some further hours of testing and trying.

            Basicly what I did is uninstall scriptcase, remove all files manualy that were left over and run cc cleaner.
            then downloaded the latest installation exe and reinstalled.

            Now it seems that the script errors have stopped, thank god so I can at least continue.

            With regards to the bugs I am having.

            Sessions are still lost after a few minutes of viewing various grid forms, the session is lost much faster if I view a grid with a grid attached.

            The forms where I have buttons not working are in all forms where I have a master/detail relationship, I have torn the forms apart and tried various things, once I remove the master detail forms the buttons work again. This goes for all buttons, the only ones working are added edit buttons linked to fields and the exit button, save, delete and any others added stop working.

            Security has solved itself with the clean install.

            If there is anything I can try in relation to the buttons or session loss please let me know as its a deal breaker and just stalling 3 projects which are already over due.

              Hello,

              You could check how long your session is set to: session.gc_maxlifetime. Although I don't think that this is what has been causing your issue.

              Are you saying that your buttons do not work - as in, they are not clickable - or they just don't show up if they are in the detail application? If the issue you are facing is the latter, that is actually the default behavior of detail applications.

              I have also contacted our support manager personally regarding your problem.

                the buttons display and are clickable as they should be.... they just dont open the linked application as they should....

                also session.gc_maxlifetime is not the problem as the session is fine on everything but viewing grids with n relationships. which contain basic events for calculation.
