  • File Upload not working

Try as I may I cannot get scriptcase to save the file details to the database.

It allows me to select & upload the files but the file names are not saved in the database.

I have been reading posts here about similar problems going back to 2013, yet I have not been able to find a solution.

I am really disillusioned with scriptcase, I seem to be spending more time applying hacks than it would have taken me to just write the stuff from scratch.

Does anybody here have an example that actually works?

The only problem I'm aware of is that you cannot have some special characters in the filename. Besides that the upload directly into the database and/or file system works without issues. At least for images and pdf's. One thing that comes to my mind is that after the upload (and the text of the filename is displayed in your screen) you have to click on 'save'. It's a two-step approach. Other option might be that you are using an extension that is not declared as being allowed (property in your SC ide).

The files are saved in the database with a slight delay, since they are FIRST upload to a temp dir and then when you click the save they are moved into another dir or inserted in your database.
