  • Combination Charts

    Hi folks

I'm trying to create a "Combination" type chart. First I tried to do it in a Grid (Chart View) but Combination type is not an option there. So I'm creating a Chart app.

It works - one metric is columns, the others are lines. But I cannot find out how to adjust which column is the columns. Because there is no setting for this, I thought maybe it would be that the first metric in the list is the columns, and the rest are lines, but that is not true. So I tried re-ordering the fields in the SQL statement, but that doesn't change it either. It's ALWAYS the same metric which gets set as columns (and it's not the one I want!)

Any help or advice is welcome.

    Thanks

    Jeff

    Hi everyone.

Really still hoping for help on this. I've mocked up two screens attached to explain the problem. Scriptcase is producing the "wrong" one. I'm not concerned with the colours, but I need to swap the line and the columns, to make it look more like the "correct" one. Any ideas welcome.

    Thanks

    Jeff

Couldn't find a solution to this in Scriptcase.

If anyone else has issues with customising charts, we eventually went to Fusion Charts (that's what the SC charts are based on) and added it as an external library. We were then able to use control apps to create custom charts and dictate almost every aspect of their appearance.

It will be good to see the SC implementation exposing more of the Fusion Charts options though, as it would make everything much easier and more seamless.
