  • Install SC on web server?

Is it correct to assume that SC can be installed on a web server so one can develop from any browser anywhere?

Where are the instructions on how to do this?

Is there a downside to doing this? Speed, lagging performance for example?
    I'm a SC newbie so I don't know much.
    Thanks

We run (and some of our customers) scriptcase on a vps windows 2012 server. I don't see much difference to a local server instance. But you need to setup your firewall right to prevent hack attempts as there's only a userid/password required. Don't know about linux, but on vps windows it's just install as on your local windows pc.

Just to add to Albert post. Zend guard extension is needed for SC to work. If you plan to install on shared hosting, talk with Hosting provider first, asking about this.

I wouldn't recommend to install sc on a shared hosting btw.

Are you guys referring to Shared Hosting as in AWS / Google Cloud? Or are you referring to something like Go Daddy?
