General settings of the Font Awesome field

Data Type

Defines how Scriptcase should interpret and display the field data in the application. This setting controls the resources available for formatting, validation, and presentation of values, according to the selected data type.

In fields linked to the table, the data type is automatically defined by Scriptcase based on the field structure in the database. In special fields or fields created in the application, which do not have a direct reference to the table, the data type must be configured according to the field purpose.

The developer can change the data type according to the system business rule, always considering compatibility with the structure, origin, and expected behavior of the field.

Label

Defines the title of a field in a Scriptcase application, used to identify and describe the field purpose for the system user.

This attribute can use langs to create multi-language systems. You can change the text of the lang used through the language button next to the attribute or by accessing the Translate applications screen.

Label hint

Defines the title of a field in a Scriptcase application, used to identify and describe the field purpose for the system user.

Hint width

Defines the width at which the hint will be displayed. If no value is entered, the default size will be defined by Scriptcase.

The style used by the hint is defined in the application theme.

Font Awesome icon

Defines the Font Awesome icon that will be used to open the grouped field links.

By default, this grouping is configured as a button. You can change the icon position and colors in the Display Settings block.

Display Settings

In this block, you can configure the visual appearance of the field in the Grid, adjusting how the content, title, and elements associated with the field will be displayed in the application.

Font Size: Defines the size of the font or Font Awesome icon displayed in the field.
Content color: Defines the color of the content displayed in the field. When the field uses a Font Awesome icon, this option defines the icon color.
Display as button: Displays the field content with a button appearance. This option is mainly used in fields configured with a Font Awesome icon.
Font Awesome icon background color: Defines the background color of the button used to display the Font Awesome icon in the field.
Text Alignment: Defines the horizontal alignment of the content inside the field.
Vertical Alignment: Defines the vertical alignment of the content inside the field.
Border color: Defines the field border color.
Background Color: Defines the field background color.
Background Image: Defines a background image for the field.
Width: Defines the field width in the Grid.
Height (px): Defines the field height in pixels.
Title Horizontal Alignment: Defines the horizontal alignment of the field title.
Title Vertical Alignment: Defines the vertical alignment of the field title.
Title color: Defines the field title color.
Field title background color: Defines the background color of the field title.
Title border color: Defines the border color of the field title.
Bold: Displays the field content in bold.
