Editing nested grid

In the application menu, inside the Nested Grids folder, there is the Links folder, which contains all Nested Grids called by this application. When clicking a Nested Grid, the edit screen will be displayed.

General Settings

Nested Grid general settings

In this block, you can define the Nested Grid Label and change the Link settings, such as adding or removing parameters. You can also configure individually some attributes defined as Define individually in the general settings, available in the Nested Grids > Settings menu.

Label

Defines the text displayed on the button used to open the Nested Grid.

This attribute can use langs to create multi-language systems. You can change the text of the lang used through the language button next to the attribute or by accessing the Translate applications screen.

Label hint

Defines the hint displayed when hovering the mouse over the item.

Hint width

Defines the width at which the hint will be displayed. If no value is entered, the default size will be defined by Scriptcase.

The style used by the hint is defined in the application theme.

Displays the current link information with the Nested Grid, including the called application and the parameters used. To change any link setting, click the Edit Link button.

Iframe Mode

Defines whether the iframe will be used to display the Nested Grid.

This attribute is displayed in the individual Nested Grid settings when the Iframe Mode attribute is defined as Define individually in the general Nested Grid settings, in the Nested Grids > Settings menu.

Open with button

Changes how the Nested Grid opener is displayed.

When this option is enabled, the default Nested Grid opening icon will be replaced by a button.

Button color

Defines the color of the button used to open the Nested Grid.

Button Font Awesome

Defines the Font Awesome icon displayed on the button. When clicking the field, the selection screen will be displayed, allowing you to choose the desired icon.

Load on demand

Loads the application and its data only when the user opens the Nested Grid.

Remove iframe borders

Removes the borders of the iframe used to display the Nested Grid, making the display cleaner and more integrated with the main application.

This settings block is displayed only when the Iframe Mode attribute is enabled.

  • Iframe Height - Defines the iframe height in pixels.
  • Iframe Width - Defines the iframe width.
  • Initial Module - Defines the initial module of the application in the Nested Grid: Grid or Search.
  • Number of Rows - Limits the number of records displayed in the Nested Grid.
  • Number of Columns - Limits the number of columns displayed in the Nested Grid.
  • Pagination - Defines whether the Nested Grid will use Total or Partial pagination.
  • Buttons - Controls whether the buttons will be displayed in the Nested Grid. The buttons must be previously configured.

Edit Display

This block displays the attributes defined as Define individually in the Nested Grid Settings block, available in the Nested Grids > Settings menu.

  • Display - Defines whether the field Label, the number of rows, and the total of the Nested Grid will be displayed.
  • PDF - Defines whether the Nested Grid will be displayed in the PDF export.
  • Excel - Defines whether the Nested Grid will be displayed in the Excel export.
  • XML - Defines whether the Nested Grid will be displayed in the XML export.
  • JSON - Defines whether the Nested Grid will be displayed in the JSON export.
  • Theme - When selected, forces the Nested Grid display scheme to be the same as the main Grid.

  • 2: Display Sequential, that is, the row number.
  • 3: Display Total.

This settings block is displayed when the Nested Grid uses the following configuration:

  • Horizontal Alignment: Defines the horizontal alignment of the Nested Grid. It can be aligned to Left, Right, or Center.
  • Vertical Alignment: Defines the vertical alignment of the Nested Grid. It can be aligned to Top, Middle, or Bottom.
  • Background Color: Defines the Nested Grid background color. If no value is entered, the background color of Grid applications from the current Display Scheme will be used.
  • Title Horizontal Alignment: Defines the horizontal alignment of the Nested Grid Label. It can be aligned to Left, Right, or Center.
  • Title Vertical Alignment: Defines the vertical alignment of the Nested Grid Label. It can be aligned to Top, Middle, or Bottom.
  • Bold: Displays the Nested Grid title, or label, in bold.
