Connecting with InterBase

Setting up the InterBase connection on MacOS

The Scriptcase automatic installation already comes with the InterBase extension preconfigured, only needing to install the firebird client to succeed with the connection.

InterBase Client Installer:

Download the Client and install it.

After installing the Client, restart your web server.

Drivers InterBase

Currently Scriptcase offers three drives to connect with the Interbase database: InterBase 6.5 or Higher, InterBase and FireBird.

You can see the features below:

InterBase 6.5 or Higher ( Recommended ) : Allows the connection to be made and use the new functionalities of the Interbase 6.5 or Higher databases.

InterBase : Allows the connection to be made and use the functionalities of the Interbase database.

FireBird : Allows the connection to be made and use the functionalities of the Interbase and Firebird databases.

Now we’ll access Scriptcase from Scriptcase from the browser and create a connection with the InterBase database.

Step 1: Access your Scriptcase, for example, http://localhost:8081/scriptcase/ on the toolbar go to the marked icon in the image below, referring to “New Connection”.

Step 2: After clicking “New Connection”, the page for creating connections will appear, click on the InterBase database image.

Step 3: On the following image, place the required information:

Step 4: Always test your connection before saving, if the message “Connection Success” appears, then save the connection. If it fails to connect, revise the fields that were informed, especially Username, Password, Database and Server/Host.
