Configuring Generic ODBC on Mac
The Scriptcase automatic installer already comes with the ODBC extension enabled, only needing to install the UnixODBC driver so that the connection can be made successfully.
NOTE: It's necessary to have the brew command installed on your Mac to install the UnixODBC driver.
Run this command only if you don't have the brew command installed on your Mac:
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
Do the installation of the UnixODBC using the terminal, execute the command below:
brew install unixodbc
Restart apache :
- cd /Applications/NetMake/v81/components/xamppfiles/
- sudo ./xampp restart
Now we’ll access Scriptcase from Scriptcase from the browser and create a connection with the Generic ODBC.
Step 1: Access your Scriptcase, for example, http://localhost:8081/scriptcase/ on the toolbar go to the marked icon in the image below, referring to “New Connection”.
Step 2: After clicking “New Connection”, the page for creating connections will appear, click on the Generic ODBC image.

For more details on configuring the connection of the database click on Advanced
Step 4: Always test your connection before saving, if the message “Connection Success” appears, then save the connection. If it fails to connect, revise the fields that were informed, especially Username, Password, Database and Server/Host.
Verify if the module is enabled in the diagnosis.
