We will see the steps we enable for Oracle ODBC on Windows, as well as the Oracle connection on the ScriptCase.
1 - First we will enter the website and download the Oracle's instant client basic and odbc (www.oracle.com). Choose the 32-bit version because of compatibility of PHP.
2 - Extract the folder instant client basic in the root of your computer. (eg.: C:\instantclient_12_1)
3 - We must add to the folder PHP (NetMake/v81/components/php/) the following DLLs:
oci.dll (Replace the oci.dll from Scriptcase PHP folder for the oci.dll that is inside the instant
oraociei11.dll (copy the folder from instant client to the PHP folder)
php_oci8_11g.dll (is not available in the instant client. To download it please click here )
4 - Let's add on the PATH system the path of this folder:
5 - Extract instant client odbc inserting all contained files inside the instant client folder. (eg.: C:\instantclient_12_1\)
6 - Restart the computer for enabling the environment variables.
7 - Create a data source system to the driver: Oracle in instantclient_12_1
Note: The Administrator of the ODBC data source should be initiated with 32 bits.
Now we’ll access Scriptcase from Scriptcase from the browser and create a connection with Oracle.
Step 1: Access your Scriptcase, for example, http://localhost:8081/scriptcase/ on the toolbar go to the marked icon in the image below, referring to “New Connection”.
Step 2: After clicking “New Connection”, the page for creating connections will appear, click on the Oracle database image.
Step 3: On the following image, place the required information:
For more details on configuring the connection of the database click on Advanced
Step 4: Always test your connection before saving, if the message “Connection Success” appears, then save the connection. If it fails to connect, revise the fields that were informed, especially Username, Password, Database and Server/Host.
Verify if the module is enabled in the diagnosis.
